Biography

Prof. Dr. Dra. Ni Wayan Kasni, M.Hum., is a distinguished Indonesian scholar and professor in the field of linguistics at Universitas Warmadewa, Bali, Indonesia. She is recognized for her academic contributions to applied linguistics, discourse studies, English language education, and linguistic research. As a senior academic in the Faculty of Letters at Universitas Warmadewa, she has played an important role in advancing linguistic scholarship and developing students’ competence in language analysis and communication studies.

Her research interests include applied linguistics, discourse analysis, pragmatics, sociolinguistics, English language studies, and language use in social and professional contexts. Prof. Kasni has conducted research examining linguistic phenomena such as communication strategies, gendered language use, politeness and impoliteness, and discourse practices in various contexts.
