Biography
Dr. Claudia Rosenhan is a Lecturer (Teaching and Scholarship) at the University of Edinburgh’s Moray House School of Education and Sport, within the Institute for Language Education (ILE). With over 25 years of experience in tertiary education across Switzerland, England, Australia, and Scotland, she brings a rich international perspective to her teaching and research.
Dr. Rosenhan’s scholarly interests lie at the intersection of English literature and the environmental humanities. Her work employs ecophenomenology and posthumanist frameworks to explore themes of identity, representation, and the non-human world in literature. She has published extensively on authors such as Aldous Huxley, E. M. Forster, and D. H. Lawrence, contributing to the field of ecocriticism.
In addition to her literary research, Dr. Rosenhan is actively involved in language education. She teaches on the MSc TESOL and MSc Language Education programs at the University of Edinburgh, focusing on areas such as language testing and creative pedagogies. Her research projects include examining creativity in language education and investigating assessment literacy among postgraduate students.
